Aunt Smart has been a quiet fixture on 3rd Avenue for as long as Watertown remembers. What began as a home kitchen passion — flour-dusted countertops and the scent of rising dough filling a small apartment — has grown into the neighborhood's most dependable bakery and pantry.
We don't rush the process. Our sourdough ferments overnight. Our butter croissants are folded by hand, three times over. Every item on our shelves carries the same intention: if it wouldn't grace our own table, it won't reach yours.

Everything on our shelves is something we'd recommend to a neighbor. If we wouldn't put it on our own table, we won't put it in our case.
